BMETS recently was honored as the Association of the Month

The Baltimore Medical Engineering and Technician Society (BMETS) recently was honored as the Association of the Month. The society’s roots go back more than 37 years. BMETS evolved out of a need for a local biomed society. Biomedical equipment technicians (BMETs) install, maintain and repair medical equipment used in hospitals, clinics, and other patient care locations. Most BMETs work for hospitals and equipment manufacturers, testing, adjusting and repairing a wide array of medical and clinical devices.  Howard Community College offers an apprenticeship program based on curriculum for the college’s A.A.S. degree program, the only program of its kind in Maryland. Chris Endres from Atlantic Biomedical is the current President of BMETS.  Congrats Chris!
